Inside Sales Representative

Aurora Biomed is committed to providing enabling technologies to life science, drug discovery/safety, and chemical analysis research by providing solutions which offer higher throughput while maintaining quality, accuracy, and precision. Aurora’s laboratory product range includes automated liquid-handling workstations, atomic absorption spectrometers, atomic fluorescence spectrometers, and microwave digestion systems.

Our sales department is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to assist account managers in maintaining existing business, developing incremental business in existing accounts, and conducting cold calls to develop new accounts.


  • Identify potential new business and help convert these leads to customers.
  • Research and develop new market segments/applications for our existing product line
  • Provide quality customer service by following through with all customer inquiries.
  • Follow up with leads and assess their research needs.
  • Promptly follow through with solutions to all customer inquiries.
  • Inform existing customers of new products or product changes to generate new revenue
  • Assist the account managers with administrative duties such as quotes, custom product requests and order processing.
  • Enter new leads from conferences, vendor shows or lists into customer database
  • May be required to participate in conferences, customer visits, seminars and training programs.
  • Develop presentations, flyers, technical notes and other marketing material with the support of product managers and the marketing department


  • A min BSc degree in Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Preferably with knowledge on genomic, forensic, immunology or environmental applications
  • Result-driven individual with clear personal targets and goals
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a dynamic team in a customer-oriented fashion.
  • Industry and inside sales experience (with big ticket items) is preferred
  • Cold calling experience and account maintenance is preferred
  • Laboratory experience an asset
