# Genomic DNA Isolation from Blood (Promega)

### Automation of Genomic DNA Isolation with [VERSA 1000 Workstation](https://www.aurorabiomed.com/versa-1100/) using Promega's Blood DNA Isolation Kit

To provide an automated solution to the bottleneck of procuring high quality genomic DNA from samples for downstream applications, Aurora Biomed validated the [VERSA 1000 Workstation](https://www.aurorabiomed.com/versa-1100/) using Promega's MagneSil® Blood Genomic Kit. The gel results showed that the [VERSA 1000](https://www.aurorabiomed.com/versa-1100/) is capable of automating DNA isolation from blood.

The [VERSA 1100 Workstation](https://www.aurorabiomed.com/versa-1100/), when housed in an appropriate bio-safety cabinet can be utilized to handle BSL-2 and BSL-3 agents reducing the risk of iatrogenic infections in laboratory workers.
