# Automated Slide-Based Assay Setup with VERSA 110 Workstation

Pipetting biological samples is a labor-intensive, error prone process and a potential source of accidental exposure to infectious pathogens. The [VERSA 110’s](https://www.aurorabiomed.com/versa-110/) user friendly software allows the user to select and save and unlimited number of assay protocols and sequence steps. Patient ID information may be input directly into the sequence using the optional barcode scanner. Sequence information may then be exported for future use. Step-by-step instructions guide the user through loading samples, slides and reagents onto the instrument. Arunning task list shows the user up-to-date sequence progress information.
