The 33rd International Symposium of Human Identification (ISHI) is occurring this autumn in National Harbor near Washington DC. Aurora Biomed will be there to demonstrate innovations in lab automation. ISHI is one of the largest international conferences. Last year, in 2021 1,300 people attended representing 45 different countries.
NGS/MPS prep
Many speakers this year will focus on cases that were solved using next generation sequencing/ massively parallel sequencing. Aurora Biomed will be bring the VERSA1100 to ISHI, a liquid handling robot that can automate NGS/MPS sample prep.

Many law enforcement agencies face a backlog of Sexual Assault Evidence Kits (SAEK). Differential digestion is a procedure that can be automated with a VERSA1100 to process SAEK to reduce backlogs.
