The 15-positioned modular deck configuration with options such as magnetic bead vortex, shaker-heater and ReagentDrop allow optimization to an extremely wide variety of protocols. Optional independent Z-axis movement allows for working with samples of varying volumes. Combined with highly accurate liquid handling technology, the VERSA 1100 high-throughput automated liquid handler eliminates cross-contamination.

However, a 250μL syringe pump is typically installed for conducting low volume assays such as PCR set up, Nucleic Acid Purification or NGS library preparation, guaranteeing a %CV of less than 5%. The ReagentDrop module can be used in VERSA 1100 to dispense bulk reagents without having to use tips or load reagents on deck. This module can dispense as little as 10μL to more than 1ml of reagent.

Yes, the VERSA 1100 high-throughput liquid handling system is equipped with liquid level sensing to detect the different layers of liquid present in specific applications such as liquid extraction, nucleic acid purification, and NGS library preparation. You have the option to choose from either single channel liquid level sensing or multi-channel liquid level sensing depending on your requirements.

The VERSA 1100 can be equipped with different modules to cater to different assays. Each module is designed and developed to meet specific requirements, this includes and is not limited to specific modules and customized adaptors.
